碘化丙啶（PI）屬于與溴化乙錠相同的化學(xué)類(lèi)別。與溴化乙錠的情況一樣，在與核酸結(jié)合后的熒光增強(qiáng)了20-30倍。熒光激發(fā)大值紅移為30-40nm，熒光發(fā)射大值藍(lán)移為15nm左右。PI通常用于鑒定細(xì)胞群中的死細(xì)胞，并用作多色熒光技術(shù)中的復(fù)染劑。它還可用于區(qū)分壞死細(xì)胞，凋亡細(xì)胞和正常細(xì)胞。它適用于熒光顯微鏡，流式細(xì)胞儀和熒光儀。
